the client is running for county office, and i've basically landed him. wants us to do brochure and flyer designs and mailings for his political campaign.
how much should i charge for something like this?
a buck two eighty.
whats involved? brochure size? flyer size? print run? 1 color, 4 color?
are you incharge of fullfillment?
is he/she one of those well-off business types running for public office? the real question: what's their budget?
don't give the work away for anything less than it's worth to you.
yeah, and it's all about the project specifics...
not sure on specifics just yet, but i do know he'll have 100s of thou for his campaign...
niiiiiiice... well propose some high-production value print pieces: six colors, full bleeds, di-cuts, foil, metalic inks, whatever...!
seriously though, if they have a good budget, propose a cool final product, charge professional rates for the work/time required, and mark up the production 20%.
come up with an estimate in your mind, then ask your client what type of budget he had in mind for this project.
it doesn't hurt to ask and you're not left guessing how much you could have made later.
does anyone have any links or ideas for this sort of project?
i've never done political design before (besides war stencils).
