So, when you enlist do you also throw out your personal moral values? Hell, I guess so....

yes you do, you are serving your country. Do you think soldiers should be able to pick and choose wars they will or wont participate in?
What the hell did they enlist for?

mrdobolina, they were probably taken in by the hype like a lot of us ordinary civilians are, then when they experienced the brutality of killing the civilians they were told they were "liberating", they couldn't do it any more. This doesn't make them pussies. This makes them men with consciences and intelligence.
Do you think you could do it?

Name one war where civilians werent killed...
Were you this against the war in Afghanistan?
Im not sure if I could, so I dont join the military. Simple.

This picture is entitled 'Shellshock'. It was taken by Don McCullin during the Vietnam War...
...until we've seen what the men and women of the armed forces have seen i don't think we have the right to judge.
It takes alot of courage to say 'no' and i'd stand by the two british soldiers. If they don't want to fight, they don't want to fight.

being in the military is no place for disobedience. It could potentially put other members of your unit's lives in danger. Lots of speculation going on about their motivation on NT, but the fact is they are being insubordinate.
