Question.
I'm using a wireless Mic but my DV camera captures the audio in Mono.
What would be the best way to split this? Software? Hardware? Which software/hardware?
Any one else run into this before?
Thanks for your help!

well if you have a copy of Sound Forge or Wavelab or some Soft-version of a frequency/sound editor, all you need to do is copy the audio in MONO and then open up a new clean file and paste, it should ask you if you want to put it into STEREO or it will auto do it for you. Sound Forge is the best in my book.

I would do it for you, if you don't have it, but that depends on the size of it. :)

you could also probably use Vegas Video or Premiere to do it as well. I don't do Video much, but it has some of the same concepts.

Sorry I was gone. I have Premiere. How would I do this in Premiere?
- JazX0
they must have an audio editor of some sort in Premiere. Otherwise, you will need a Sound Editor like Sound Forge, etc.

Like a plug-in?
- JazX0
maybe? no Sound Forge is a solo program from Sonic Foundry at http://www.sonicfoundry.com

Does this work for Mac? (Soundforge)

How could I accomplish this in Final Cut or Premiere? I have both and AE. Can any of these do this?
I'm using a Mac and I don't know what sound program can switch mono to stereo.

it shouldn't matter if you can get a copy of it in .wav format, that works with MAC now

What's the point of making a mono recorded signal into stereo? I mean, if you're just duplicating the recorded mono signal on both sides, what's the point?

huh? just import it into premier, then export, audio only, as your selected codec, bit rate etc etc.
easy.
