exador, powerpoint 2000 or newer will work with animated gifs, but powerpoint 97 needs the animated gif to be converted to avi. lame shareware like gif construction set should convert these formats.
I cant beleive I knew how to do this.

I just tried the "insert image" and then chose "from file" and it seems to be working just fine.

thanks sodium!
the problem seems to stem from me using a really old version of powerpoint that doesnt seem to support gif animations (i loaded your file and the animation didn't run...)
i'm currently downloading an update...hopefully that'll solve the big problem...
cheers and thanks a ton for the help guys!
