Is it possible to check what frame a movieclip is currently on with a simple piece of actionscript? I think it should be simple but I've got a mental block.

using _currentframe:
if(myMovieClip._currentframe == 3) {
//do this action
};

Hola Stimuli... got some master brain just beside me and is writing the following:
Hi yes what you need to use is the _currentframe property of the movieClip object. It is read only so you cannot use it to direct the playhead but use it with gotAndPlay instead. Don't forget to use the movieClip instance name first eg myClip._currentframe or for the main timeline _root._currentframe.

Hey, I can sleep again!
Thanks guys, that was exactly what I was looking for. Not used Flash in about 9 months, takes a while to get back into it (I'm mainly a print designer).
