I just heard an interview with B-Real of Cypress Hill. Says the next LP will be a straight temple of boom raw HIP HOP Sh!t. Taking it back to what they started. I was a huge fan of Cypress, untill they started playing that rock shiat. Not hating on any bands, but the only hip hop kats that can bring a band to their music are The Roots. Thats word!
So for any of you true funky cypress hill fans, look out for their new sh!t this year sometime.
For now... time to wake and bake!

Ahh man, thos cats are all about the money, they do whatever they can to make it. Switch from Rock/Hip-Hop back to Boom etc. etc. etc. you think they really care if greenbacks are in their faces?

Completely agree!
I just have a little hope for those kats, but they are have been suspect for a minute now.

respect to them i say....a man can only go for so long doing stuff for the love, it comes to a point when you need that mass appeal to get paid
how long have they been about? for time!!!...cant remember what they were called before they were cypress hill but theyve been around for a long long while
same goes for all these other people who have gone for mass appeal..redman etc etc
must say i was only really keen on that first cypress hill album tho..but whatever, its their career at the end of the day right?
appealing to backpackers all your life isnt goin to pay the bills man

one thing I would have to say, their beats were always tight and from the street, everything else is suspect

they always struck me as having nice dirty beats and samples but lyrics and rapping is for a kids tv show or somethin.

Nah! the beats aren't street at all right now! Muggs production is not near "street" since the temple album. Muggs is nice on production, but I've heard better on his Soul Assassin album he produced for other kats. It's B-Reals lyric and Sendogs wak-ass verses and hooks that are suspect.

Alchemist is street!

that's what I meant though, their latest shit is ass, a big let down, they will come back though, they always do. Give me two more years with the AKAI and I can imitate their asses

I haven't heard it but I think I heard Muggs new solo album just now - Dust - is more along the trip-hop vibe then closer to his old stuff
