should work cross platform, besides the fonts. How are you taking the files from school to home? CD, FTP or ???

i'm brining them over by CD...i can read what's on the cd and what file type they are, they just won't open....
for example...i can open a flash file as a library on my mac, but i can't open the fla ....

i've had some issues of burning on a PC then taking to a Mac. if possible, set up an FTP server.
certain burning software likes to encode certain things.

I think I know what is the problem! You must burn a CD that is compatible with the MAC also. ISO protocol I think!!
Its the only think I can see!!

I have also noticed that sometimes when you save a file on a PC the archive box which is under the properties get checkmarked. So if you uncheckmark that, then save it should reconize. That could be one issue, but it sounds like there is more to it.

make sure the files have extensions on them on the pc side. ie: .psd or .fla and it will work when you bring it over to the mac.
otherwise, if you are in osx, control-click on the file and use the 'open with' function to try and open with the right prog.
