Since everybody here is bitching so much, and think they knowledge of designed would've produced something of better quality, why don't you be brave enough and redesign it yourself and then post it here?
Re-design the old shield and shield logo, and then post the graphic here, let's see how many people have the skills behind their big mouths to support their points behind the new UPS logo.

I would keep it the same. And besides. Designing a logo for fun (free) devaluates the product. Don't you think? :)
- Jr0
Nope, it would give whoever doing it the credibility or the right to at "least" talk about some other people's work.

i didnt say anything in the other UPS logo thread, but I'm with reluct... and probably 99% of the other NTers. it should have stayed the same.
- neeko0
so we cant critique a logo unless we try designing a better one, and succeed first.
that would really cut down on the replies when people ask for a site critique.
- reluct0
Hmmm I think everyone has credibility to talk about someone's work.
My work is not created for fellow designers, so the opinion of someone outside the bizz is actually more of value imo :)

I'll do it, if you'll pay me 4 million dollars and give me 2 years.
- Jr0
Well, let's get people's opinion then.

Emmm. I think the point most of us were trying to make is that the logo did not need to change. It was designed by PAUL RAND for fucks sake. Are you suggesting we should redesign the IBM logo too?
- reluct0
Now that is something I would do in a split second mrming :P hahaha.
This thread is silly.

the UPS logo was far superior to the IBM logo IMHO... but theres already a big ass thread somewhre back in the archives discussing the IBM logo.
