Im looking for a really compact.. bulletin board? to use as an alternative for email tennis between two people.
I havent had much luck with discus and phBB certainly isnt what I'm looking for. I was wondering if anyone has had experience of a stripped down version of a bulletin board.

wouldn't instant messaging be better than a bulletin board?

instant messaging is out of the question, we need to document the discourse and it has to be accessible online
