Is it possible to make a part of a website accessible by users AND for it to not turn up in search engines or anything like that. So only the people who know the address of that page will be able to access it.
It is very important it does not turn up in search engines.

why don't you just authenticate users before granting them access?

Do a search on .htaccess that'll help you.

yea. i keep all of my directories open except 2, i dont want people to know that they exist, so i use .htaccess
that way, even if they do screw around and find out that they are there, they still cant see all of the magical goodness that is contained within. blahahaaa.

what you need is some of IBM's magic pixie server dust.
