I can't seem to get a Jpeg to be loaded into a Flash MX SWF. I've read several tutorials, but nothing has helped. Do I use the loadmovie action to do this? I'm stumped - thanks.

you want to do what? import a .jpeg into Flash? try import -> .jpg?

Just like loading an SWF-file!
loadMovie("whatever.jpg", "instance name");

Check that it's not a progressive jpeg as flash doesn't support those...

To load dynamic JPGs you have to load them into a MC instance. You can load them into a blank MC if you want, just make sure it is targeted from the Load Movie command.

I see ok, yeah you can load them the same way you load a movie as he said

Thank you for the insight - I'll try re-exporting my JPEG as non-progressive, and load it into a blank MC - Cheers.

Whomever mentioned the non-progressive JPEG with regards to the dynamic loading in Flash MX - that is exactly what the problem was - thanxxx!
