Hi guys, I've search this board and a smiliar question has been asked but I'm still not clear on this problem.
The problem is pausing streaming Mp3 songs in Flash thru the loadSound command. Logic tells me that if i want to pause the song I can call the song position, convert it to seconds and then restart the song at that position, but loadSound doesn't let you input a starting point like the start() command does.
Should I create individual SWF's for each of the Mp3 (a pain) and then somehow inport them into the main movie? ie loadMovie or something?
Where's Arlo when u need him!!!
Thanks guys.

I have a great little Flash file but it's at home. Basically it allows you to click on a button and then the music that is playing fades out in real-time, and keeps playing silently, but when you click that same button it opens it up again in real-time.

But the file/song keeps playing right? How about if you just want the song paused at say 1:30 into the song? I think your thinking of a "mute" button buddy.
P.S. I love your LoopKit site.

ohh thanks for the kudos, well maybe yes you might be right a mute button, but it mutes it in real-time and then brings it back not to where you muted it but to where it would be if it were still playing, understand what I mean? :)

Hey Jaz, yeah I see what you mean bruv, check out that link I found, I haven't tested it yet but it looks like there is a way to call the sound object from within a start() command, sweet. Now why didn't my "Advanced Actionscript" book tell me that. Dah!!
Yeah, kudos, it granted. Hell you could have used RealPlayer for all those soundclips. ;-P - Over

I'm just going to put a preloader on that sound area for my site, thanks for the heads up though. Making a new one as well. :) 10-4, Over and Out! :)
