HOW Design Conference

Anyone going to this? Anyone been in the past? Its June 5-8 in New Orleans. I really, really want to go. Wish me luck as I try to convince my boss. :)

So my boss is saying I can either go to this or Photoshop World 2003.
I went to PS world 2k2 last year (and it was great btw). Has anyone been to the HOW conference? Is it worth it?

my bosses went last year and they said it was a complete waste of time. i guess it was just everyone kissing hilman curtis's ass the whole time. and the program book is one of the worst designs i have ever seen!

the art director and i here are trying to get our boss to send us. we live fairly close to N.O. so there is a chance she may send us. (though a slim one)
honestly, i would love to go, but it isn't as important to me as going to the BD4D in Atlanta was.
so if i dont make it, it wont break my heart.

its a great excuse to get away and see some place you have not been, but is a complete waste of time. all the lectures were common sense and boring. id say the only + is meeting new people and networking.

I went to the Orlando HOW conference.
Waste of time. Wouldnt go to another one. There are better conferences out there for the money.

And yes, that site is awful! I thought the Neon Glow effect was a thing of the past, no?

Anyone else have any comments? My boss is only gonna give me one big trip this year. I was planning to go to Photoshop world 2K3 in Tampa, but i went last year...
the HOW Conferecne would be something new...
