a lomo is a toy camera hip people use to make hip looking photos. lomography is a hip way of saying "photography with a lomo".

scarabin- sure lomo is a toy camera, though i love taking photos with it (has nothing to do with being 'hip'.. ?!). hate less. an slr section will be up soon too anyhow. and some other stuff.

Lomography is actually a bit more than just "taking pictures with a lomo".
There is quite a philosophy behind it, with a set of rules...
the main concept being "Don't think". http://www.lomography.com/about/…Is it a lifestyle? Is it a trend to sell more lomos? Bha.

I think that LOMO cams give more "feel" to a picture without wasting time to set up a shot.

scarabin - wouldn't you consider that it's not what you've got but how you use it? I agree that the colours that lomos can bring out can make photos look amazing. But I think quamb really has done some good work.
