rodchenko and raushenberg are amazing but so are some of our contemporaries....you dont have to agree with me, or even think i'm right, i just like his designs..... and i was mocking this thread when i said that he is slang is genius....

i don't know any of these cats personally...but....
after reading all that dialogue, i came away thinking two things..
1) the guy from surfstation seemed pretty decent to me..
(and before anyone leaps up and starts screaming, i'm no huge fan of EITHER ohsonappy's design OR SS...)
2) oh so nappy seemed really really really angry..
so angry he created an ENTIRE page to show how angry he was.which is a significant amount of effort, regardless how you look at it.
but i gotta wonder..

what was the point?
spendinng hours in photoshop, and dreamweaver blah blah blah...
just to reach out, and touch someone on line..
and say.

when you say 'pimp' it makes me go CRAZY!there must have been other factors going on here..

Hey, sage, all this happened YEARS ago. If it really did matter, Gabe/OhSoNappy and Thomas would still be fighting over it. But they don't. YOU are the only one obsessing over this.

everybody rips everybody so what? Tdr ripped off many layouts from some 50's deisgn but everyone still praises them.....design trends and movements are rip offs.......i see it as a compliment more than anything..

To answer that last thing about Thomas needing people like me:
I don't think Thomas needs me. I don't think he even remembers me. And I don't care, because he isn't a friend of mine.
I DO acknowledge his talent, though, as well as I acknowledge Gabe's talent. Yeah, Thomas did a couple of things back then that was a bit weird, but as I said earlier: It was YEARS ago. Damn, I did a lot of stupid shit back then too, and I hope noone ever reminds me. Or start some bullshit thread about it.
