im late on this, but mad lib is some of the most refreshing sheit in ANY genre...i just think of him on the level of say someone like frank zappa, conducting some crazy stuff. example; he made an album called "the unseen" where he adopted the alias of "quasimoto" a blue ant eater looking mofo, who raps in a helium like voice..and he made a sort of jazz album where he played some instruments after learning them for just a year. you gotta feel that diy kind of vibe. if you've given up on hip hop lately, check him out.
