... it's a shame that it's such a crappy website -- gives this film no justice.

Watch it in the theatre.. If you think it looks good on your tv, it looks 2.5 million times better projected on film.. But yeah, it's one of the best films ever made, I don't think there's any question of that..

agreed, amazing.
it's very sad, though I guess that depends on the viewers interpretation.
the score is flawless as well.

bought that video a few years ago when it came out..
sheer and absolute genius..
shows what a beautiful and diverse world we have.
some of the music is incredible..
and by a great 4ad band 'dead can dance'....
if you haven't seen this doc. you really really should...
you can probably buy it at most good vid or dvd stores...
absolutely worth it.

to me... the saddest part of the video was the baby chicken spot.
... yeah... there was the tie-in to how humans are 'tagged' and produced and flow off the conveyor belt so-to-speak... but the treatment of the baby chicks was just so... unreal I guess.... much like the 'reality' of the film itself --- very surreal.

One and the best and saddest movies I ever saw...
By the end I could barely see the screen through my tears. Profoundly disturbing and yet stunning at the same time.

I could have slipped off into a coma watching the monkey chilling out in the hot spring. wonder what he was thinking about?

the director made another film very similar called "Chronos" its definitely worth checking out, its a little less human-emotional and more about the earth.

The director Ron Frike was the Director of Photography on Koyaanisqatsi. That makes his track record officially rediculous. These films are not to be missed.
