My band Palaxy Tracks is about to release our second proper record. It's called Cedarland. I'm making a promotional poster for it for our PR person to send to record stores, radio stations, etc. I'm having trouble deciding between three versions of the same poster, and would love some of your input.
Here are the three versions:

The poster will be printed on craft paper. I scanned some craft paper and inserted it as a background for viewing purposes here.

love them much, version 1 please!
nice work!

Thanks static. I swear - every time I do a poster, I chip away at it for hours, and almost always end up liking the most minimal version best.

I'm an illustration dude so I'ma go with version 3. I like the illustration and because of the wieght of the line it's not to distracting love the plain text and stock choice...bang up job, get a beer.

Thanks a million, TNDAP. Yeah, I want to make the line very, very light, but I'm not really familiar with printing, so I'm not sure how light I can go.
Any suggestions?

I would go only 10 to 20 percent lighter I dig that the lines are to compliment the poster not overwhelm, I think that the drawing is the first thing you look at but the stark boldness(is that a word) of the text still draws your eye.

Nice poster (#1 for me), but is there any concept behind it or...?

cool!—heres my crit...
the letterspacing is a little inconsistent in the title.
try using a lighter verision of your type (futura) for the 'peek-a-boo' line at the top.
also, you should raise the hyphens in peek-a-boo to align better with the all caps.
cheers

The name of the record is Cedarland. The tress were used in the design of the cover (which was done by Rick Myers - http://www.footprintsinthesnow.c…...
It all ties in together.
