What justifies the deletion or removal of a topic?
I posted a hopefully intelligent responce in "France" and now its gone!
And a few months ago, some guy posted a critique on an awesome Broadway Musical, and I responded about my experience, and the next morning, the topic was gone!
Makes me realize how locking threads makes a world of a difference from complete deletion.

its gonna be deja vu right about now

As in this topic or more war threads?

that would be quite ironic.

I love how every war thread is being deleted.
Great job!
Let's all remain silent!

heh, why don't you cry about it pansy.
maybe if people didn't say stupid things, the things said wouldn't get deleted.

"heh, why don't you cry about it pansy.

There is incredible irony in that statement.

whats wrong with a healthy discussion about war among peers?
delete the ones where people type in ALL CAPS and use 3 million exclamation points lol !!!!!!!!!!!
seriously, i rather enjoy talking about the whole war thing with a lot of you. I'm interested in what you guys have to say.

Slick knows what he's talking about.
I hate flamewars.
But I like educated discussions between fellow designers. That's why I am so adamant about this.

Try reading the FAQ.
"What's this I hear about Newstoday and censorship, free speech and public voice?"
We do censor the content in the PV-AN (the discussion forum). We understand that conversations containing highly sensitive and potentially offensive subjects at times bring about interesting conversation, however Newstoday is not the place for these discussions. There are plenty of forums on the Internet for open discussion and general topics. We keep Newstoday focused on design related topics, because this is what our audience expects and is the soul reason why people visit the Web site. This censoring usually means that specific threads will be removed from time to time, which unfortunately but understandably generates some agitation among the more 'dedicated' PV-AN users. We created the PV-AN to allow more 'air time' in the Public Broadcast because people would start discussions and conversations in this area and seemingly needed a dedicated space for this type of content. As mentioned before, the majority of our members (92%) does not use the PV-AN or the PBS and simply come for the links. We are not interested in hits or traffic since we operate Newstoday for free. We are interested in quality control.

That's a valid explanation.
That's really all I was asking for.
I'm surprised no one else referred me to it.
