Anyone got any? My wife had twins almost 4 months ago. It has been the most AMAZING experience, but a LOT of work. It's hard to find any free time anymore, esp for any personal design work. I've got my day job, but it's only marginally fulfilling.
Anyone that's gone through childbirth that has any words of wisdom, I'd love to hear.

Yeah, I have a few kids. Picked them up from school one day. All they ever do is cry about how they "want to go home" and tell me they "miss mommy." I figure it's just a phase.

I just had a little girl this past year and it's crazy trying to stay on top of everything. All I can say is get them into design as fast as possible so you can work together because trying to get any personal stuff done as a parent is tough.
My daughter is only 10 months old and starting to say a few words but I am making sure that her second language is php. :)

"...I am making sure that her second language is php"
lol-nice. Your site is awesome. It's good to know productive work is still possible.
Do they have a "see spot code" series yet?

I have a little girl(age 2). My pride and joy. Yes my personal design time has grown smaller, but it's all worht it. I rather spend the time with her and my wife. Life is too short and they(kids) grow up fast. So spend as much time while you still can.

One more thing. Read to them!

Hmm..
Not that I know of.

I want to make it clear that I would never push my daughter into anything that she didn't want to get in to. If she chooses sports over code then alas i must go and cheer her on. :o
[but, you can always nudge in the right direction]
Thank you for the nice compliments and (<) link!

we're super excited...no idea whether it's a girl or a boy yet...we'll find out then.....
most of our friends have kids now, or are expecting this year aswell, so we have LOTS of company and friends in the same boat, luckily :)
definitely going to read to the child ALL the time...

Congrats exador! Nothing can prepare you for that moment when you see them for the first time. I never thought I could love something so much.
Children's books are great. I love this one (great illustrations)...

shellie, where'd you meet your fiance?
- shellie0
i met him through another guy i was dating. they worked together and hung out a lot. i got tickets for the guy i was dating and i to go to see the faint.. and adam wanted to go too.
my date was a dork all nite, but adam danced with me, we had some drinks. it was all good. so i wanted to hook him up with one of my friends. i ended up hooking myself up with him instead :)

@seas : no we were all friends until he and his twin started getting crazy. apparently they're slight schizophrenic and it starts to be more obvious in early adulthood. my ex started dating a girl i liked and know, and he became very abusive. i tried talking to her but she thought there wasn't a problem. so Adam and i cut off from that group. you are who you hang out with, i guess. and we're definitely not like that.
those kids did a lot of things i didnt agree with though. they all work in the video game industry and made a good amount of money and had nothing to show for it. they smoked too much weed. and andrew (the guy i once dated) got fired from his very awesome 9 - 5 because of "attitude problems".
::sigh:: i need new friends. :/

Congrats! What an amazing blessing babies are. I have a 5 month old. He is the most beautiful thing in the universe. He's brought out a whole new dimension of love in my wife and I.
I don't have much in the way of advice, as I've just recently embarked on the adventure that is parenthood. Just trying to be as selfless and patient as I can be.
