I want to play a couple mp3's on a plain html site once a link is clicked? What is the simplist way to go about this minus the use of flash and director?

Dreamweaver has a built in behavior called "play sound". You define when it gets played; "on click", "on mouseover", etc. But if you're using it for mouseover sounds it sucks cause there is a bit of a delay. Other than that good luck. I'm interested in seeing the true javascript for this.

you can source shit with JavaScript
- JazX0
it's easy as hell

you can source an external .swf file using javascript, but you need to have that .swf I believe.
- TNDAP0
What do you mean source it?
- TNDAP0
And that means my viewers must have flash what if they dont what are my options?
- JazX0
well you can source a .swf from a regular html-based link.
- JazX0
well you can always wait for the view to wait for some .mp3 or .wav to open up on a page.

I was hoping you would be the one answering the question JazX, I guess you are the Nt sound guy, this will be my third time opening flash can you give me a quick run down of how to turn the mp3s into small swfs?
- JazX0
well you can import a .mp3, just go to import and then find your .mp3 and then put in a frame. If you need something more than that then let me know? :) PS I am just joking on all this war shit... :)

you can create a simple object in Flash and also connect either an .mp3 or a .wav to it as well. E-mail me dude I can send you some shit.
