.las file extension

  anybody know what the hell ".las" is? there's a site i'm about to begin webmastering possibly thay has ".las" instead of .html or.php or whatev...

  it could just be a user defined MIME type. I created (just to test) a .se7en file that would "mime" PHP on my server, just to play around.
