what are the good records shops to visit in paris? i'm in paris for a few days and wanted to take a break from the tourist track. i usually look for indie rock, minimal techno and electro / idm stuff when i buy vinyl and oldies too. oh and by the way, any good french band recommendations?

You have FNAC and Virgin Megastore. Both of them in the Champs Elysees (Main Stores, there are several along Paris)... Big stores, where you can find there all music styles... CD, vinyl, DVD...

I go there every year. I usually buy records (vinyl and CD) in St Michel Boulvd, near Quartier Latin. ther are some stores where you can buy cheap good music and good books. Try it.
