Cancel Phone. No Net?

Pardon my ignorance but if I cancel my home phone service (nothing but cell phone to make calls) will I not be able to connect to the internet with a modem.
Could be a dumb question but was wondering.

or you could get an adapter for you cell phone that hooks up to your comp/laptop.
but that would be dumb cuz you'd pay more.

but do you need your home phone line to have dsl? cuz i want to get rid of my home phone line and use my cell for calls but need the dsl.

i believe you need a phone line for dsl. however, cable doesn't require a phone line, it uses the same line as your tv cable.

Not that dumb of a question.
Sprint has some deal where you can get a adapter to connect your laptop and it will be considered a cellphone to cellphone call (which means unlimited if you got the plan). But then you have to get that plan and use their dumb phones and get a crappy connection.
Wait that is a dumb question.
Its cheaper just to go Go Cable!I don't have aland line and I get cable pluss a few extra channels thanks to the cable guy.

i have cable networked to 3 comps, sometimes 4 or 5 when friends are over. never noticed a slow down when everyone is on. unless we are downloading a shitload of porn. ;)
