Not me. Not yet. But a dear co-worker of mine just got the boot. We have been sheltered from this nuts economy up until now. One major client goes sailing off into the sunset and the shockwaves begin.
Even though it wasn't me, our small studio in this big agency feels down and bummed. Because we are so much of a smaller, tighter nit group, it sucks that much more because you work so closely with them.
And now I am low man on the totem pole. I feel I might want to board up the doors and windows because I don't think this storm is done yet. Nervous. Even though I have been told I am safe. I don't take anything for granted these days. Not now.
I told her, drinks were on me. Anything to get her mind off what has to be a really shitty afternoon.
How do you all deal with situations like these?
thanks. just frustrated. never felt like this the whole time I have been here. Pretty smooth ride up until now.

Saw an email subject line on one of my boss's computers from the main boss saying, "Fateful March 31st Meeting" So that sucks and I can definitely relate, may be doing the freelance thing fulltime soon.
times are gettin tougher.

Yes indeed. I just hope that the bleeding stops soon over here or I will be the one writing goodbye emails. I hope to god that isn't the case.

that's the biggest fear. the unknown. when the terror alert warning hits red and they give joe millionaire his own show, jesus should really come back lay down the law.

i know they talk about it so casually on the news as well. if iraq retaliates with chemical weapons than we will get more support blah blah blah as if that's a good thing. i'm in nyc very scary

bB, don't be scared, you must be pretty good at what you do, that's why they kept you around... it's a tough thing in the agency world, it expands and shrinks depending on the climate, and right now the media is nurturing a climate of fear for ratings sakes... so, take your canned-friend out for drinks, that's what i do and keep doing what your doing...

thx robo. that is what i plan to do exactly. you can't control what is out of your control. so press on. keep kickin' ass in your position and hope that someone with an axe is waiting around the corner.
