3d drawing packages

  what's the best 3d drawing packages I should be looking to get? Nothing to flash, just need to create a couple of basic 3d shapes pretty quickly.

  Can I get a free download on trial from somewhere? Is there a plugin that let's me do this for Freehand 9?
