8-bit music

can anyone recommend some good sofware that can emulate the sounds that were produced on the 8-bit nes or even the 16-bit snes. any info is much appropriated! hehe

yeah Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, you can do it with the many effects they have there, it's all knowing how to do it though, It's become an industry standard

Wavelab for MAC. I am sure there are plug-ins for Cubase VST and Cubase SX as well as for Logic and Pro Tools. Etc, etc.

mitsu, but there has to be some effect machine out there, but you can do wonders with Sound Forge, such as the Accoustic Mirror effect, meaning you can take any sound and apply it on a sequence such as if you have a horn playing sequence you can make it sonds scratchy by applying a .wav file effect on it and grade it in and out. It fucking rocks yo!
