Benefits of New Media for the client?

Anyone got any good resources - stats, quotations, thoughts, etc - on how the use of new media benefits the client or improve the bottom line? Looking for ammo for an internal presentation.

I believe in word of mouth. Take the time to visit with account service reps who talk directly to the client. Start small. Get them excited about the prospect of interactive endeavors.
Brief example: Our studio was looking to add some revenue. I went to the account dept. and told them about interactive invitations. E-Cards if you will.
Told them it is an easy route for the client to get their message out to a large number of customers at an affordable price.
I have already done a couple and interest is slowly growing in them.
This, hopefully, will lead to larger more involved ($$$) projects in the future.
Give them a small taste of what is possible and then it can grow from there.

Thanks for your thoughts. Very much like advertising its hard to quantify what direct benefits the use of new media brings to a client. While "adding value" is a relevant phrase to drop, its difficult to sell tangible benefits.
