Craigs list is a pretty good site. Dunno if anyone has ever actually gotten a job from it but it seems like it could be helpful.

it's partly a numbers game, you won't just up and get a job unless your simply amazing and have some mad skill nobody else can touch, you'll have to sign up with temp agencies from there they will pre-qualify you and send you on assignment, i know it sucks but that's pretty much the normal route
