About the splash:
Personally I didn't like it, and that's mostly because I didn't get it. Are you trying to convey a real message, or are you just playing on the 'war'-trend?

Cool! :) Animate them (shouldn't be hard) and give them tiny machine guns ehehe.
I agree with schjetne. It's better to make a point when you use an illustration like this. Now it's hard to tell if you are agains or for a war.

Or to me it doesn't look like it's about war? Maybe about mass evacuation?
It looks nice but is maybe a little topically confusing. But then again the weekend has left my frontal lobes looking like overcooked hamburgers so i'm not the one to ask.

Hey I think it's not about war. It's Boeing crash and the passengers jumped out with parachutes. Maybe I'm wrong, but do they actually have parachutes on passenger flights? I don't think so.
Small warning: some people may find your illustration offensive, if it's really a boeing.

i think its cool, especially when i noticed that one of the parachutes just snapped and the guy is free falling...

S'ok, wish it had a more clearly defined concept and approach. Also your text buttons below it they don't have a clear 'hit' state so its hard to click on em... since theres just text and all... watch for that :P Oh and I second the notion of animating it that might just give it the message you were lookin for.
