anyone have any experience with backing up Outlook mail on a PC? since i'm the unofficial IT guy at work, i'll be wiping and reinstalling a fool's Outlook (from PC to PC).
i know it's easy as hell with Eudora and Mozilla since everything is in the Application Data folder.
thanks for any help.

I use it lament, works great for me, never got a virus. Also I'm too lazy to download a new mail client :)

Yup, I'm a long time user of Outlokk(not Express, though). Its pretty solid, and it helps to know your way around its vastness... I still find myself learning new little tweaks once in a while...

They are .dbx files that can be found at (on a W2K machine):
C: > Documents and Settings > Admin > Local settings > Identities > and then just find the files for the correct identities (I've got 4 on my machine and they list as some strange number).
This gives you the Inbox, the Outbox, Deleted, etc., and can be dragged and dropped form one computer to another. It will reinstate all of the emails in their correct place. This is how I back them up and transfer them from one computer to another.
