flash audio clicks

  when i do anything in a flash movie over a browser that causes a short sound to play (e.g. the refresh/search/start topic buttons here on NT), there are audible "silence clicks" in the middle of the sound (unless i run my mouse over several buttons really quickly). it's as if my sound card/driver is occupying and freeing the sound resource in a not-very-elegant way.

  does anyone else get this problem? is it just me and my crap ass SB16 or does it have something to do with the flash plugin itself?

  i think it's your sound card too. my friend had this problem, and when he got a new sound card the clicks went away.
