I have a cracked version of QuarkXpress 5.0. I have Acrobat 5.0 installed, Distiller and all. I want to export my Quark work as PDF, but when I go File/Export/PDF/ it says: TO SAVE A DOCUMENT AS A PDF FILE, A POSTSCRIPT PRINTER MUST BE SET UP TO PRINT TO A FILE. Now, I have two printers installed, the PDFwriter and the PDFdistiller. They were installed with the Acrobat 5.0 software I suppose. Why doesn't it work then?

3- switch to BACKGROUND PRINTING tab and chose foreground (no spool file)

4- switch to SAVE AS FILE tab. Format : Postscript job. Poscript Level 2 and 3. Data format Binary. Font inculsion : all.

5-PAGE ATTRIBUTES tab, specify paper size

6-POSCRIPT OPTIONS TAB, deactivate all checked boxes and click ok.

And SAVE (save your file at a place where you have easy access to i.e. desktop, so you can drag and drop your .ps file into the distiller.

In the distiller choose in the job options menu : print. then just drag an drop on the open distiller.
