I'm trying to make a gif sequance in photoshop that consitst of 40 frames (files) Eventoually i'm going to have more. I am doing this sequance so that i can use it as light rays in 3ds max. I want the rays to change as they would in water. Is there any way of saving all of the files at once. Or setting up an action that will save the file and add a numer so that they start to save, 01.gif 02.gif......etc.
Thank you

setup an action, saving the new files into a subfolder of your original folder as gif's, then run the action on all of the files, it will figure out the numbering, if the frames are numbered to begin with.

maybe i'm doing something wrong. I opened up 40 seperate files. They are not saved not named. So when i run the action it saves over the file.
Can you tell me how i can do this maybe from step one :-)
Thanks

you are going to have to name and save the files first.

is this an animated gif or just a sequence?
- Blueman0
you know what i think i have it figured out....

well i wanted to make a sequance cuz that's what 3ds recognizes but i don't know if it will recognize a gif animation
- mrdobolina0
probably not, are you familiar with actions in photoshop?
- Blueman0
yes..... i got my sequance done in image ready . trying to figure out how to get it so that each frame becomes a file
- mrdobolina0
Ive never done that through imageready. Ive only made animated gifs in imageready and you said 3DS may not recognize them.
- Blueman0
yeah it only sees it as a single frame. I made my animated gif in image ready but man i'm stuck i can't seperate the frames. There has to be a way to seperate the frames.. Is there another program that will show all the frames and allow me to export them as individual files?

make an action that does everything you want to happen to each file.
then go file -> automate -> Batch

Man i don't get it.......
=(
I just want to create 40 - 50 frames. But I don't want to go and save each one at a time. I just want there to be a comand or something that i press and all my new files save 01, 02, 03...

batching is what you need. put all your original files in one folder and let the batching thing save your new files to another folder.
