so, i'm trying to create a link that will do 2 things: refresh a seperate frame on the page, and launch some type of streaming media file (asx or ram).
the code i've found and have been using looks like this:
(a href="something.ram" onClick="parent.frame1.location...
that was working beautifully for the ram files, but the windows media files seem to screw up the frames causing one to go blank (this only happens on macs).
was wondering if any of you javascript wizzes out there might have an alternative script for me? please please please please please.
thanks PVAN!!!

this is a long shot, but are you linking to a windows media meta file or directly to the windows media file? might make a difference...

thanks mort, but no luck there. is there a way to do two or three things w/ one link using javascript.
i'm sure there is, but i can only seem to find this method which is messing me up.

yea - just write a function for each thing you want to do, then call the functions from the onClick event - seperated by a ;
i.e.
onClick="function1();function2...

sounds straight forward enough. let me give it a shot. thanks!

Odd that doesn't work "as-is".
You could also just do the whole thing inline and avoid using the href.eg. a href="#" onclick="parent.frame1.location...
Although the blank page issue may be due to something completely different on mac.
