somebody please help!
i see flash sites all the time that have beautiful, non-pixelated pictures that do not take forever and a day to load.
what is the best format to save pics for flash? i use illistrator 10, PS 7, and Flash MX.
I tried searching with no success on PV-AN. i would appriciate any help or advice you could give me.
thank you.

Save for web on PS7

showing diff compression on the same pic.
play around untill you find the best!

I find that the file compression in Fireworks MX is better than PS7. I generally tend to work on all graphics in PS7. Then import to Fireworks MX to optimise. The quality is still very good

I've found the best results by exporting from PS7 to .PNG. Then, optimize the .PNG individually in Flash.

Yeah, make sure you're making the JPEG quality in Flash high. It gives you that option in the first or second screen after you choose to export to the swf file.
I usually keep my JPG quality between 50 and 70 when saving for web in Photoshop, which keeps a lot of quality but also isn't like 2MB a piece. And I never deal with PNG files.

I'm tellin' ya, MAX. quality PNG from Pshop. Then, compress individually in Flash. I've tried every possible avenue and this is the best.
