FTP upload via Browser

  For a client we are looking for a easy way to upload files to a webserver via FTP. Earlier browser version such as Netscape 4 featured an option like this, where you simply could drag & drop files into a webbrowser. A feature which current browser generations obviously do not support anymore. Does anyone have an idea?

  yes they do!

  type your ftp hostname into the address line, starting with ftp:// instead of http://

  it can still be done. i use IE to do it all the time. for example if the website address is "www.asdf.com" then try "ftp://www.asdf.com" and it will ask you for the password and such and you will be good to go.
