    hi all.

messing about with some logos for a guys portfolio site, and could really do with your input. the site is called oneplayer.co.uk and the guy is crazy about video games - especially retro - hence the name 'one player'. i've tried to go with this video games idea with the logo, using atari joysticks and space invader aliens.

could you take a look here please:
    http://www.oneplayer.co.uk/_test…

and tell me what you think. i think i've decided on the font - the font i've used from number 13 onwards. but if you could let me know:
    - the joystick or an alien?
    - if alien, which one?
    - do you think the colors are any good?
    - do you agree with the font?

basically ANY advice/criticism would be great, and much appreciated. i'm a programmer, not a designer, and this is the first thing like this i've done.

    many thanks

    It´s saturday, dude, nobody´s here.
I like no. 13, but not the font. What about rethinking the dot in the "o" as in ten and 8(?)
And norrow it down; you´re all over the place, but still the same.

yeah the ideas are all really the same symbol right wordmark left, but theres nothing with a striking pizzazz or distinqtive quality. Try different ones, and use symbols that look less dingbat-ish.... Infact I have a shirt with two of those symbols on it.... they're just not uber-creative or anything...

i think the type used in 13 on is the strongest type ... its stylized, but not overdone .. its a good mix. as for the alien .. i think it needs to be something between 14 and 15. it needs to not have much shape to it .. more blocked out to match the basic lay of the type.
