maybe for the colors of my site.
A GOD, buying shoes... Sounds like a great idea. I'm little broke, so maybe I will buy a lipstick.

Get a hose pipe, attach it to the exhaust of your car in the garage. Close garage doors. Sit in car. Pull pipe in through window and insert in mouth. Close window. Turn on engine. Relax. Think good thoughts.
There's too many designers around already.

What a stupid thing to say to someone who is feeling depressed.

I felt the same way, but I was doing design too. I would spend nights and weekends working on projects, but I didn't care because I really enjoy what I was doing.
You got to have passion if you want to succeed in anything.

sounds like you need some inspiration while you sit behind your computer, i suggest: red wine, some ferro rocher chocolate, nag champa incense, of course shopping always helps but you end if getting behind your computer when you get home anywayz... you've got a cool style on your site, that main pic reminds me of a place i lived in while i was in downtown san fran...

thank you for your good comments about my web site. It helps.
are you still living in SF?
- robotron3k0
i lived in sf for about 3 years, i worked at a big agency and the economy went down very hard, very quickly, lot's of my designer friend there have part time jobs at bars and shops... i recently moved to nyc so now i'm incredibly busy, so much design here of all types, i liked living in sf but i didn't find diverse work as far as design, very limited, but the weather was nice and the music scene was excellent, besides it's very expensive, the landlords still overcharge...

get away from the computer for a day
go for a long walk through montreal
(dress warmly tho..hahaha)
stop in some bookstores and check out the latest or oldest bande desinee (did i spell that right?)
try to remember what it was about design that first inspired you..
eat lunch in a nice but inexpensive place...
pamper yourself a bit...rent a car for a weekend and go to Lac St. Jean and stay at
http://www.o2oiseaux.com/o2oisea…
its a small but beautiful gite (bed and breakfast) run by a my wife's friends inlaws Hélène et Claude..
it's not that expensive, and by the end of the weekend you'll feel totally refreshed...
oh, and if you get up early, they'll make you a really nice breakfast..
spent about 3 days there 2 years ago and totally loved every minute of it..
anyhow..if you're tight on cash, i just suggest going on a long walk, preferably through an older area of town...
drink a cafe au lait,
just unwind..
does wonders for the soul

maybe everyone of you are right (except the thing about killing myself). The problem is that I feel like an "emergency". I just left my actual job, and I would like to work in web design. I didn't study in that field, so I guess I have to work hard right now to have a better portfolio, but it's a bad time form me, I miss ideas etc and everything I'm doing look bad. I would like to work with other people, find a project or something, just to have more inspiration, more interaction. I think my web site is pretty good, but I know there's a couple of errors. Why redesign everything if people around me don't really care, and if I don't have any contact with people who might care?
