Am I the only one feeling this way? frustrated and dissatisfied with people/friends?
Everyone I meet in MTL only talks about "fluff", smokes pot, is unmotivated, uninteresting, boring, and don't do shit in life! (and just to make things worst, my bf and his friends all fit into this category!)
I ain't your little goody goody or looking to hang with a bunch of total geeks either! But fuck, I like hanging with fun, dynamic, smart people and I've only met one person like this in the 3 years I've been living here! Are they all just focusing on getting their MBA then getting the fuck out of here? (I sense the bashing I'm gonna get from this thread...)
(To add to my frustrations, I have to look for a new appartment! argh!!!)

I spent 5 days in Montreal in 2001. Our first night we met some college kids and they were very friendly. I was thinking they were just inviting us because of the cute blondehaired, blue-eyed girl that was in our trio...but, I was wrong. I met alot of good people that night. It made my opinion of Montreal very high. (no pun intended) and no, we didn't smoke or anythig. We actually ran around the city because they were doing this college initation thing.

now, time for me to find a new appartment/roomate... hum, should I opt for the ever so convinient/trendy/pricy plateau, or head to a edge of the water location and get a shitty car?

Well, I've been dreaming of living in this city since I was 5 years old and it took me 13 years to get there. I love this city even though it doesn't love me. And I'm glad to be here.

ah mel.
well. i was there for two years, and i found the exact same thing. i didn't like the "people" atmosphere there at all. which is why i moved back here.
montreal.... good city to visit for a short while, but i would never consider living there again.
