missing letters

  i'm working on a catalog and some of the headers are in Futura bold. For some reason specific letters are missing. Does anyone know why?

  This happened to me a few years ago when i was using Myriad MM. But a printer told me it was because i was using a multiple master font and those "are bad" to use. But why would it happen with Futura? It shows fine on screen. Letters only start disappearing when i print out.
