am sure many of us can't afford the $1000+ big guns... though what is your favourite working lens?

50mm 1.8 Canon
Or a 70-200mm 2.8 Sigma EX (for Canon).

gotta stay away from non brandname lenses... canon EF 85mm 1.8 for portraits, 20-35 wide is sick for alot of shit, and a 135mm 2.8..
fixed lenses are the way to go... pros dont use zooms... they suck.. they are convienent, but really sharpness isnt there. especially lenses in focal lenths over 85mm.
i shoot 90% hassleblad with carl ziess 80mm CF T*. the sharpest lenses in the world. i rarely touch 35 or digital... but when i do, canon eos bodies and canon g2 digital.

Gotta agree on prime lenses being the best/sharpest.
The 70-200 Sigma 2.8 EX is one of the few exceptions though for a third-party lens, and possibly the only Sigma I'll ever buy (cuz the rest is junk, except for the 105 macro EX)
Yup, Canon EOS. Still using an old A2!
