I like the design you have now.
- chilaquil0
it would be fleurs de lise...

I like the over all look. I was going to say the same thing about the Cuban Council thing, but the rest looks fine to me
- reluct0
Lol :) Goodluck! I really love your work!
- shellie0
reluct: whoops that last one was for you.

doh!...kpl beat me to it!
- ribit0
so do I say I like the fleur de lis'es?
or fleurs de lise?
- reluct0
Very nice :) I think it's an improvement to what you have. The ribbon is a bit to similar to the cuban council right now so I would get rid of it or change the colors or something :)
- kpl0
fleur de lis. they're called fleur de lis. the cresty looking things.

i meant to say that i like the design and would love to see what you do with it. so, to sum it all up:
grungy borders = good.

ah ok, i was wondering what the mysterious pixel effect was all about. :)

grungy borders = good.

i can see what ribit is saying about the logo, although i kinda like it, with the spades, i think that's what they are called on the sides, the dc is fine, but the word mark on the underneath blends in because it too is sans serif, i might think of changing that to a serif font that way the dc would pop off the screen, just a thought... or maybe mix in some more of that distress look into the word mark itself just to differ more...

the girl is there as a place holder. im doing a photoshoot soon (hopefully)with a girl who looks similar and i wanted to see what it would look like with a body there.
- b__0
love the colour scheme, why is the girl there?
perhaps you could play around with the 'ribbon' element + the nav? :)
