Also, I think you can set up an AppleTalk protocol in Windows, but it may only work one direction.

strange, we have the opposite problem under the same issue: connectivity. I don't know what to tell you except look at your DSL settings, TCP/IP settings. Do all systems connect via hub?

You shouldnt need extra software anymore...if you are on OSX 10.2 and XP at least...
should all be covered by the stuff in Preferences > Sharing > Windows File Sharing etc..
