Nothing annoys me more than seeing a successful company with lots of money use their reputation to exploit young people by paying them nothing.
See NTB.
Its tight.

The industry's so packed with people trying to get design experience, most will jump at the chance to attach themselves to a big studio, even for no pay.
As far as the studio is concerned, if you won't work for nothing, someone else will. Sucks but that's the way it is i guess.

I think its getting worse in recent years, they are working these savings into their annual budgets.
I worked for 'cool' communications agency in London for 2 years. When I suggested we pay these people (not much but just a little token of appreciation) I got laughed out of the meeting room.
If important work is produced by someone who is not getting paid it should at least say in small print somewhere that the work done was voluntarily.
I suspect there are 'cool' creative companies, orgs and associations out their who have 'design sweatshops' full of vountary workers, where do you draw the line?
I would like to know if there is legislation against exploitation that can also apply to these types of companies.
