I just installed os X on my g4.
I am having a problem I would like you guys to help me with.
My mouse seems to be stuck. When I click on the nav on the top, the mouse seems to move to the right. The actuall cursor doesn't but all of the other menus start to open...
don't know what it may be, but I am trying to install the drivers for my mouse and key board. The mouse driver is already installed and I just installed the keyboard driver. Lets see if it still works.
Anyone else have this problem?
FRESH!

Hey Fresh...dunno if this is the same issue but when I installed osX on my Titanium my mouse stopped working right (Inland brand) and I couldn't update the drivers to OSX so had to get a new mouse.

I think I might just have to reformat to os 9... this sux...
My mouse works. It just seems to get stuck.

I had a similar problem and I couldn't resolve it until I downloaded this:
That was just for the mouse and not the keyboard, I didn't realize the had drivers...hope this helps you.

you didnt say what brand of mouse...
for anything like this, you should probably start by going to macfixit and versiontracker, and search for the mouse brand, and your OSX version, to see if there is discussion on tech issues, or updates, (and of course there's the support site for the company that makes the mouse)...

microsoft intelimouse
microsoft natural keyboard pro.
I never had issues before. Both have os X drivers
hmmmm
- ribit0
and you have the latest drivers?
- freshmode0
yup... the latest. Went to microsoft and everything. I just connected the old apple keyboard and it works fine now.
But one thing seems weird. When I click a menu item, then roll down, it doesn't hightlight. IS that supposed to happen?
Then I click to see the submenu and the menu goes away as it always has. So I have to click and hold a menu item to have the submenues work...
please help!!!! this shit bugs me out.
- ribit0
and this doesn't happen when you use the Apple mouse?
(I'm sure I'm not going to solve this by the way... just thinking of the next thing I'd check)

the folks on the discussions boards on apple's website have helped me out on numerous occasions... it does take a while sometimes to get the right answer, but i would definitely give it a try

if time is money...wouldn't it just be easier to get a new mouse? I suppose that would be a girly approach...but its mine. :)

the turbo mouse is awesome. I have been wanting to pick one up for a while now. http://www.kensington.com/html/1…
