I hate frames! Frames does not give you full control of your design in html and becomes unpredictable in different screen resolutions.

yep I used to hate frames, but I like iFrames. See if the client notices?

Do iframes work in Netscape yet?

I've never had any problems with frames being unpredictable other than in Netscape 4.7... Hm. I guess you're doing something wrong. I find frames a pretty good tool. Except it's hard to find the correct link to a page in a frameset.

I've been wondering this recently myself - does anyone have any thoughts on their usage? I mean, I see it as being fairly easy to work around their weaknesses (search engine caching, confused browser-nav and bookmarking etc) - but has the age of iFrames and other shite really come of age?
what's others preference?

Frames are fine if you know how to use them. In some cases in this state of the web you still have to use them for certain tasks and they are practical.
Used in the wrong way they can be annoying & hiddeous!
