ok, if you were going to show some prints of your work (A0/A1) in a gallery would you:
1. lamitate them..?
2. mount them on some kinda board..?
3. anything else..?

anything that i've mounted was flush mounted on foam core.. usually black, but white can look ok as well.
I can't remember the product name but it's a roll on sort of film that mounts pieces with archival quality. Kinda like rubber cement, just has better holding power with minimal bubbles.

Foam core/board is cheap and always looks cool. Doesn't distract from your work. You need to be careful not to muck it up, though. I mounted onto chipboard for my photography grad show. Worked a treat.
