Unfortunatly Konami have decided to change there logo after 30 years of service for a pair of completely uninspired logos

For all of you who don't know the old logo, which will be sorely missed, here is the a link to it.
All those classic games that wore this badge with pride on to the battlefield of the videogame market must be turning in their graves.
This new logo appears to have some other japanese cousins...
It's a sad day in videogames today, as one of the old favorite logos moves over for a quite unremarkable logotype.

omg! that's horrible! why change an established identity when there is absolutley nothing wrong with it?
i don't like the new logo either... too bland.

it could be worse. I don't think it's that bad. simple. a bit bland. but no swooshes.

i mean, yeah sure the old logo was a classic (or one of the classics). but the new one is not so bad. the should've added a little something extra (symbolic dot, a weird slash, something). but the person(s) responsible for their site should be hanged.

who are the ad wizards that came up with that one?

there was my moment of silence. now my thoughts. if i ever see the suit that made that executive decision i'm going to kick him in the sack so hard his mother is going to cry.

I just can't see that logo lasting anywhere near the 30 years the old one has been about.
Maybe some of the responsability should be with us designers, to tell clients when they don't need a new logo.
