I know this is a dumb question, but I am having trouble finding it.
Does anyone have the line of code to connect PHP to an Acess DB? our server supports DSN names, odbc, php, asp, but no MYSQL.
I've done alot of Cold Fusion/SQL stuff at my regular job so extracting stuff is no prob.. i just can't find a working code to connect PHP to ACCESS.. help!

grab a hold of enobrev for this one...
Nice driving in Falls Church this morning? sucked for me.
6-10 more inches of snow to fall...

yeah i got lucky, i left at 7:30 and got to work at 8 at edsall road... people from burke towards 495 were waiting in like 2.5 hours of traffic...
i think we'll get 10 more hopefully, so i can stay at home and work on other stuff besides boring work at the day job...

you are probably only person in NOVA who wants more snow.. ;o)
i should check out your snowboards as a means of transportation.. probably get to work faster that way
although i might have to stay loyal to Morrow Snowboards since my last name is Morrow!
i will IM Enobrev to look into your PHP/Access question

Morrow got bought out by K2 and I think they're being discontinued either this year or next! cool i really appreciate you IMing Enobrev for me on the db thing.
i got so much other to work on outside of work that I gotta do. the only thing i can't stand around here are the stupid drivers who think 4WD means they can drive fast in snow/ice.

Eno said he will look at question in a bit...
i heard of like 4 SUVs that flipped today... hahaha
hey... this may not be your thing, but have you ever been to McLean Bible Church? Specifically their Frontline service on Sunday nights? reason is... they have an awesome group of creative peeps there that get together to do a lot of collab stuff... and hang... i met with them last weekend and they were all very cool.

I had never heard of that collab thing... what kind of collab stuff? yeah on the smarttraveler site every accident i saw on there said "OVERTURNED VECHICLE." ..morons.
is the collab thing a church/religious thing or is it just a collab thing at the church? that sounds pretty cool.

its just a bunch of people who go to Frontline who decided to get together and hangout.. do projects... critique each others work... ect... there are like 15 people involved... but when i went to check it out there were like 30 more people interrested to be involved as i was.
i know that a lot of people are going to different art places around DC to critique and socialize.. i think they are going to the Corcoran in March... they do a few events every month...
its all basically a visual art community... Web/Print/Sculpting/ painting... ect... (not acting dance, singing)

I might have to check that out... i need to get better at design stuff...

hey sorry for dragging my feet. I was having a bit of password trouble..
Anyways, I haven't worked with Access at all with php, as mysql has always done what i needed so well.
I found this link not too long ago, which explains a little bit about using COM to access Access for php:
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN…and this opne has some info about php and com.
http://www.devshed.com/Server_Si…
(windows only)I actaully recommend away from Access. It has quite a bit of overhead, and isn't really built for multiple connections.
I worked with it for 2 years while doing CF stuff, and once i started woking with MS Sql and MySQL, i never even considered looking back.

thanks!
yeah, i'm just building it as a client login to see the status of their stuff, so not alot of people will be loggin in... yeah i wish i had access to mysql, but the server i'm using to host our stuff is in ireland, and they do't offer much.
yeah, i'd use sql or mysql if i could, but unfortunately i don't have that option.. thanks man!
